The West Coast National Park offers a pristine natural setting that has now become home to the annual Westcoast Warmwater Weekend, taking place from 18-19 March 2017. The National Park is an ideal location for triathlon as well as quality time away with family and friends. The weekend offers something for everyone, with fun kids races, fireside entertainment and more, and we are proud to have MiWayLife  partner with us again for the 7th instalment of this unique event.
All athletes will once again receive complimentary MiFitLife cover. MiFitLife is a true lifestyle product that was developed by MiWayLife in collaboration with professional athletes. This innovative insurance solution rewards exceptional athletic performance and is available only to qualifying athletes. MiFitLife members gain access to a whole host of benefits designed to keep athletes at the top of their game. Not only are premiums geared toward fitter individuals, but a range of compelling lifestyle benefits and rewards are provided as integral components of MiFitLife.

Craig Baker, MiWayLife CEO says, “We were struck by both the beauty of this event and the support of the local sporting community. The success of this sold out event has reaffirmed our goal to drive support for local events that encourage the health and wellness aspect of every day life, bringing fitness to the entire family.”

“We are privileged to be able to host the Westcoast Warmwater Weekend for the 7th year in a row, continuing to grow in its beauty and popularity and become one of the most sought after events on the triathlon calendar. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity to work with MiFitLife in 2016 and we are even more excited that they believe in the same ethos and have come onboard to support our event again, on a variety of levels for our athletes.” commented Event Organizer Paul Ingpen

This event is a great training weekend for those wanting to take part in their first triathlon, as well as those taking part in the upcoming Ironman African Championships and Ironman 70.3 in Durban.

From pro athletes and elite age groupers such as Matt Trautman, Stuart Marais, Kelly Van Der Toorn and Vicky van der Merwe, to world class veterans such as Conrad Stoltz, Jan van Rooyen and Kevin Richards, as well as novices and first timers, there is something for everyone at this event.

The calm, clean and warm lagoon creates a great atmosphere and allows a fun and friendly environment for all.
