The ATKV Buffelspoort will be a hub of excitement on Sunday, 04 June 2017 when reigning AfricanX men’s team champions, Givemore Mudzinganyama and Edwin Sesipi face-off at the 2017 FNB Platinum Trail Run.

Currently the reigning FNB Platinum Trail Run champion, Mudzinganyama is looking forward to racing against his AfricanX Trailrun partner. “Although I will be racing against Edwin, it would be nice if we could both finish on the podium,” says Mudzinganyama. “The trails are absolutely beautiful. It’s not very technical, but it does feature loose rocks that will demand attention. Even a beginner will enjoy these trails. My goal will be to run as quick as possible from the start. I love to see how the competitors respond.”

Having toed the line an impressive four times at the FNB Platinum Trail Run, Sesipi will be hungry for gold. “In 2013 I finished 2nd behind Thabang Madiba. In 2014 I could not complete the race due to illness. In 2015 I finished 2nd behind Lucky Miya and in 2016 I finished 2nd behind Givemore. The FNB Platinum Trail Run is one of the high profile races. If you make top three you know that you are strong.”
