Chris Jooste and Yzette Oelofse collected the biggest victories of their careers at the inaugural Tshwane Classic road cycling race that took riders through the heart of Pretoria today. Onrus welcomes FNB W2W MTB Ride finishers

The third and final stage of the 2017 FNB Wines2Whales (W2W) Mountain Bike (MTB) Ride started at the picturesque Oak Valley Wine Estate (Elgin-Grabouw) on Wednesday, 01 November 2017.  Before crossing the finish line at Onrus Caravan Park riders had to complete an action packed 71km route that featured a 1200m ascent.  Iconic sections on the Stage Three route included passing the Houw Hoek Inn, the oldest hotel in South Africa, meandering through the quaint town of Botriver past the Botriver School, experiencing the magnificent Wildekrans and Hermanus Trails, Gaf-se-Bos, the Fruitways-Onrus Beach Crossing and the PERI-Onrus river crossing to name just a few. By taking part in the 2017 BUCO Origin Of Trails Two-Day MTB Stage Race on Saturday, 25 November 2017 and Sunday, 26 November 2017, riders will make a difference in the lives of the children of the Aitsa After Care Centre.  “The Aitsa After Care Centre opened its doors in January 2014,” says Marietjie Steyn, Aitsa After Care Centre Founder and Manager.  “The Centre strives to expose children to fun activities and programs in an alternative home environment where they feel loved and special.  We currently have 145 children between the ages of 5 and 9.  All the children reside in the Dwarsriver Valley, Kylemore in the Banhoek Valley and surrounding farms.
