I hope you are all ready to take the plunge for Slanghoek Triathlon this weekend.
Event Dates: 
MTB Triathlon on Saturday 25th October 2014
Road Triathlon on Sunday 26th October 2014

Breeland Wine Cellar – Slanghoek Valley

Registration will take place on:
Thursday 23rd October at Sportsmans Warehouse, Tyger Valley  from 13h00 – 18h00
Saturday 25thth and Sunday 26th October from 06h00 – 09H00 at Breeland Cellar.

Late entries will be accepted TOMORROW ONLY at Sportsmans Warehouse for the MTB events R 20 extra.
Please Note:
If you are not a Western Province Triathlon Association registered athlete, you will be required to purchase a temporary day license – from the Western Province Triathlon table at registration
Short Distance event:  R 30
Long Distance events:  R 100

Starting Times & Race Briefings

Race briefings will commence 15 minutes before each race in the transition area.
Each athlete doing the road triathlon will receive an armband indicating your start batch. These armbands must please be worn on your wrist in order to be allowed access to the starting batch.

07h45 Transition closes for open male vet male racking, open female, short bike can rack until 08h45 on top section.

Food and Refreshments
There will be a variety of food and refreshments available for all.

A Few more Important Notes
Time trial bikes are allowed
NO SWIM CAPS will be provided.  Bright coloured swim caps are compulsory for the swim leg
Swimsuits are allowed, unless the water temperature is warmer than 18 degrees, the referees and officials will announce if this is the case on the day of the event.
Race numbers goes on the back for cycle leg and on the front for the run leg.
Road Bike – Tri bars and time trial bikes allowed, NO drafting.
There are some rough sections on the route, so please bring spares

Directions to Venue
From Cape Town, take the N1 towards Worchester.  Pass through the tunnel and as you exit the mountains, take the Rawsonville turn-off to your right.  Follow the road till you get to a two way intersection, turn left towards Slanghoek (Goudini Spa).  A bridge will take you over the N1 towards Slanghoek valley.  Follow this road for 6km and Slanghoek Cellar will be situated on your right with Breeland Cellar on your left. Follow the parking signs towards the parking area.
