Stellenbosch – The Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails two-day mountain bike (MTB) stage event has attracted the attention of the ISUZU MTB Academy. Four riders together with their coach, Jo Dobinson will be seen toeing the line in Stellenbosch on Friday, 27 and Saturday, 28 November 2015.

Celebrating its third anniversary, both stages of the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails will start in Church Street (Stellenbosch) and finish at the picturesque Blaauwklippen Wine Estate (Stellenbosch).

According to Jo Dobinson, ISUZU MTB Academy Coach, the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails is a fantastic event. “The year is packed with races, it’s great that the Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails encourages riders not to race, but take it easy, enjoy the breath taking views and catch up with friends while doing what they love most, mountain biking. The fact that it’s a two day event for solo riders makes it unique. Another exciting feature is that riders are encouraged not to race. As a result fun riders will get to ride with the likes of Ariane Kleinhans, James Reid, Erik Kleinhans and Waylon Woolcock, to name just a few.”

I am really looking forward to riding with the academy riders, continues Dobinson. “Four out of six of our riders will be taking part. The two days will be viewed as training rides and we’ll be riding together as a celebration of life and health. Being able to ride with them is a treat as I usually only get to welcome them in at the end of each race.”

Founded in January this year, the ISUZU MTB Academy is an ISUZU and Stillwater Sports initiative.
