There is an innate connection between a brand like Mitsubishi and Table Mountain. Both present undeniable aesthetic appeal; but their toughness shouldn’t be underestimated.
On 10 December 2016 1000 trail runners from 40 nations will take on Ultra-Trail Cape Town (UTCT), racing either 100km, 65km or 35km routes. Our mountain will show them just how beautiful, and tough, she is.
Mitsubishi has stepped in as the event’s official vehicle partner, offering a fleet of vehicles that will support the event logistics.
“At Mitsubishi Motors, we share this spirit of adventure that draws so many ultra-athletes to this race and we believe that our off-road vehicles will be perfectly suitable to patrol the rugged terrain and support the athletes throughout this race,” says Braam Faul, National Marketing Manager of Mitsubishi Motors South Africa.
Conceptualised and managed by Cape-based organisation, Summit Events, Ultra-Trail Cape Town is now in its third year and growing steadily. As one of the new additions to Ultra-Trail World Tour in 2017, UTCT has become the priority race of a growing trail-running community in South Africa, and around the world.
Race Director Nic Bornman, “We’re not just building an internationally recognised Ultra-trail event, we’re writing a story that continues to capture the imagination of trail runners, endurance devotees and mountain enthusiasts. We welcome Mitsubishi to this new chapter, and look forward to aligning with their well-respected brand and legacy.”
