PUMA ambassadors, Lebo and Lebogang Phalula and Yolande Maclean will join thousands of runners on the start line of the much anticipated Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban on Sunday, 17 July 2016.

In 2015 Lebogang shared the top spot on the podium with twin sister, Lebo after completing the 10km Totalsports Women’s Race in an impressive time of 33 minutes 44 seconds. “Running allows me to travel the world,” says Lebogang. “I love representing my country with pride and dignity. The support that runners receive at the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban is amazing. The event allows Women to celebrate National Women’s Day together, in style.”

“I enjoy the shorter 10km distance,” continues Lebogang. “My personal best for a 10km road run is 32 minutes 49 seconds. I achieved this at an event in Port Elizabeth. I will take part in the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban on Sunday, 17 July and in Cape Town on Tuesday, 09 August. The Totalsports Women’s Race Durban has a fast flat route. I love it. There are no hills and I really love running next to the sea.   My goal for the Durban race is to once again cross the finish line holding my sister’s hand. I love running with her. When she is next to me I feel free and happy.”

Yolande Maclean completed the 2015 Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban in 37 minutes 43 seconds. “The sport of running makes me feel free,” says Maclean. “I love running against the clock. My goal is always to better my personal best time. My main goal, however, is to become better, faster and stronger. My goal at the Totalsports Women’s Race in Durban will be no different. What makes the Totalsports Women’s Race special is that it focusses on Women. This is pretty awesome. I am looking forward to a great race on Sunday, 17 July.”
