<McGregor> Entries are selling fast for the Race2Nowhere, the one-day brother of the ever popular Ride2Nowhere three-day stage race. The 2018 event takes place on Saturday 8 December and is organised by the same passionate crew who puts on the Ride2Nowhere (and Run2Nowhere trail run) in September. This year the event once again offers two route options, the 112km Epic Challenge, with 2550mof climbing and a 65km Mini Epic with some 1500m ascent.

As with the Ride2Nowhere, that majority of the riding is done on private land, traversing epic trailsnot usually open to the public. The riding is tough, but the scenery oh-so worth it. Underwheelcomprises largely of exposed shale, sand and loose stone. But, if you don’t have the legs and lungs to tackle the full 112km, you’ll get the same experience on the 65km Mini Epic.

Supporters can look forward to a 10km fun trail run (or walk) on McGregor Wines farm whilst their other half is out on the mountain biking trails. There will also be food stalls, coffee and bar available to refuel after the event. It is a great way to kick off the December holiday time with a day out in the Breede River Valley with activities for all.

EQUAL PRICE MONEY
For the racing snakes, there is equal price money for both men’s and women’s winners in the Epic Challenge distance. Last year saw some fierce racing up front with some of the roadies fresh of Coronation Double Century training give the mountain bikers a good go for their chips.
