Pacesetters ready for a Top Class FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN

A group of twenty reputable runners will set the pace for fellow runners (who have very specific finishing goals) at the 5th annual FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN, the Cape’s premier 12km road race, on Sunday, 19 May 2019. “The aim of pace setting is to run the race in a particular time (at an even effort) in order to assist other runners to run that specific goal time,” says Rassie Pretorius. “Pace setting is especially helpful to novice runners that have a specific goal time in mind, but that are not sure at what pace to run. Being a pace setter is very satisfying as you get to help other runners to realize their dreams. We will publish all our activities on the Western Province Pace Setters Facebook group. You’ll be able to spot us on the day by looking for the flags that we carry. The goal time will be on the top most flag. We look forward to helping runners realize their dreams at this top class event.” Seen here (from left to right): Craig Stachan, Petro Neethling and Conrad Koorts were part of the pacesetting team at the 2017 FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN.
