Prize Purse announced for 2019 FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN

The FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN will boast an impressive overall prize purse of R250 000 in 2019, with the open men’s and women’s winners each taking home a whopping R30 000 on the day.  Prize money has been allocated to the top 10 finishers in the Open Category, with the runner- up in the Open Men’s and Women’s races taking home R17 000 each and the final spot on the podium securing R13 000.  Juniors, Veterans, Masters, Grand Master as well as the 70+ age groupers will earn prize money from 1st to 3rd place. Gachaga smashes World Best at FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN

Kenya’s 22-year-old Morris Gachaga may be softly spoken, but there is nothing wrong with his legs – and did they do some serious talking at the 2017 FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN on Sunday 21 May, when the diminutive runner smashed the previous World Best on a point to point course by four seconds. FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN welcomes Budget as a partner

The organisers of the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN are excited to welcome Budget Rent a Car as the official car rental partner of the Cape’s premier 12km road run.  Starting at Woodbridge Island (Milnerton) at 09:00, the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN celebrates the brilliance of Cape Town and its beautiful surrounds.  The route will guide runners along the  coastline through the Harbour, past key city landmarks, including Cape Town Harbour, Grand Parade and the V&A waterfront, before finishing at the Portside building in the heart of Cape Town.
