Thornlands Virtual Duathlon Champs

We challenge all learners to our Thornlands Virtual Duathlon Championship this August 2020.

This event will run from Saturday, 1 August 2020, with the entries closing at 17:00 on Monday 31 August 2020.



The distance to be completed is 2km run/5km cycle/1km run.


To enter:

INDIVIDUAL entry – boys and girls in the age group – categories of U8, U9; U11, U13, He-Man(Father) and She-Ra(Mother). Note that you will need to complete the 2 km run, 5 km cycle, and 1 km run one after the other and record it as such on your cellphone/watch. Your transition will also have to be timed and is included in your total time which means you will have 5 splits which ends up being your overall time. 


THE ROUTE: The race will take place at the Paarl Aboretum next the Berg River using the official Paarl ParkRun route.

Duathlon 2km Trail Run Route

2KM RUN: You will have to run out and back using KM 1 of the ParkRun course.



Duathlon 5km MTB Route

5KM BIKE: Complete the 5km ParkRun course.



Duathlon 1km Run Leg

1KM RUN: Run KM1 of the ParkRun.


This course makes it ideal for parents and friends to wait at one point during the entire race.


Submit screenshots as proof of the time, date, route and distance completed to by 17:00 every Friday with the subject line ‘Duathlon Championship’ and the category you wish to enter. These screenshots can be from any device. 

A weekly leader board will be posted on Enduro Hub’s Facebook and Instagram pages every Monday; the idea being that entrants challenge this time with a better time.


The winners will be announced on social media on Monday, 3 September 2020.


Prizes up for grabs to winners from each category except for the “He-Man and She-Ra Masters Category.
